After doing the basic email chores this morning, I went to the studio to mix the local band I've been working with. Came out good. There are definitely some very good moments on this ep. Vocally, sometimes, it reminds me of L.A.'s Wasted Youth and some other bands circa '81-'83. More emails, some site updates, micro-managing, etc and then the evening break with the misses. Very surreal. I just read all my archives. Very weird. My brother Omar has been keeping a journal for over 10+ years. It would be amazing to have all that down. I have always wished that I had started a journal when I moved to Guatemala in Jan of 1980 and with so many people the last couple or so years suggesting I write a book, I would have content. I wish Omar would put his journal online.

By now you know that Ireland lost to Spain in penalty shots on Sunday. England advanced and will go against Brazil on the 21st. I've been so busy working on our live show that by the time Letterman came on last night, I had forgotten that db was scheduled to appear. I noticed that my brother knocked me off his "daily visit's" section due to my lack of blogging, I suspect. What have I been doing? Finished the American Culture eXperiments recording last week. It was a very good time and the recordings came out very strong. Some good friendships were made in the two months we worked on that CD and now Scaterd Few has a like minded-like spirited sister band.

Some friends of ours 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia last Friday. It's bad. She went into ICU this morning. It's a real tough time for them. I can't help but think there's something spiritual about this one. Pray for her. Her name is Samantha. It's cold outside...

Can you believe it? I was laid off on Friday and I received a call from a prospective employer at 4:30 pm that same day! I have a 10:30 interview for a position I can surely fill. It's Monday. My son turned 13 this morning. Happy Birthday my son! There were at least 5000 at Six Flags Friday night to see the POD show. We hung out with the band before and after the show. It was a good time. On Saturday I kidnapped my old drummer, Samuel West. He was in town to play with his band Stavesacre.
