What can 25 years do?

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the Challenger accident.

25 years ago Cristina and I were awaken by a child yelling outside our window "Mommy! Mommy! The space shuttle blew up!"

We were living in a 'pay-by-the-week' hotel in North Hollywood, CA. It was one step away from homelessness. Our neighbors were male/female prostitutes, pimps, "Johns", drug addicts, drug dealers... you name it.

We were unmarried, broke, pregnant with our first child, in blatant disobedience and our surroundings were proof positive of how well that was working out for us. Not only could we not see how we would ever get out of the mess we had made of our lives, we weren't looking to the Answer that could get us out of that mess.

This morning we were awaken to the smiles of our grandson, in our big beautiful home in Dallas, TX, married, broke, pregnant with the call to the nations, in blatant obedience and our surroundings are proof positive of how well that is working out for us. Not only do we have hope and the ability to see tomorrow, we diligently pursue the Answer that enables us to see and hope for tomorrow.

Our first born has and continues to go to the nations and all things have and are continually being restored. Now we willingly go to the homeless, male/female prostitutes, pimps, "Johns", drug addicts, drug dealers... you name it, to share with them this same Answer that was willing to deliver us from ourselves and how they too can have this same deliverance.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of the Challenger accident. Today also marks God's grace and mercy that is available to those that choose to obey Him regarding the challenges in their lives.
